The Optimiser WMS barcode module and hardware is a seamless integration of order picking, stock movements and receipts with any modern barcode scanning terminal into the powerful Optimiser WMS software.

Optima uses the latest 1D and 2D barcode symbology (see fig 1, 2) to capture all of the barcode information.  RFID tag (fig 3) is a newer but tried and tested technology and this can be integrated in to the Optimiser WMS solution.  The only down side of RFID is the cost of the tags.

If you are unlucky enough not to have barcodes or have a mix of some products that have labels and others that do not, then do not worry.  Optimiser WMS can print both 1d and 2d  barcode labels on demand  for your pallets, cartons and locations so that you can produce a label to use with your barcode scanners saving on buying in bespoke labels.

The investment in a wireless network and barcode scanning can be quite high for a large warehouse but the benefits are easily recovered with quicker and more accurate picking of stock. By the use of wireless barcode scanners you remove the often distracting task of operators reporting back to the office for their next job.
