Cardiff based steel importers and distributors Charles M Willie Group of companies have been importing steel from main land Europe for over 40 years and have become one of the UK's leading distributors of steel coils, bars and bundles.

Knowing that the steel import market was becoming more competitive they decided to take a lead by investing in the very latest IT solutions. The main objective was to supply the steel mills in Spain with up to date stock figure and distribution information.

After thorough investigations in to the WMS market place, Spanish Line Manager, Brian Lightfoot chose Optima Warehouse Solution. "They offered an excellent product at a realistic price" Brian quoted. Optima Warehouse Solutions Limited supplied Optimiser WMS to control the stock in the harbour's warehouse and yards. Optimiser was installed at the head office to process the receipting of stock and customer reports. Two miles away a remote despatching module was installed at the Harbour Weighbridge for despatching stock.
