Optima recently took part in a charity clay pigeon shoot run by ORJ Solicitors in Stafford.

20 teams took part in the “Shooting Stars” day at Oakedge Shooting ground, which is held each year to raise funds for a local charity.

This year the event was in aid of Caudwell Children, a Stoke-on-Trent charity provide practical and emotional support to families living with disabled children.

On a lovely autumn day Neil Bennett, Neil Olsson and Dan Morrison represented team Optima, as they took on some of the sharpest clay pigeon shooters in the country.

And we’re pleased to announce we didn’t disgrace ourselves, finishing in a quite a respectable mid-table position.

Though the team didn’t go home empty handed, Nile Olsson won the wooden spoon for most clay’s missed!

All in all, a great day was had by everyone while raising over £5,000 for a very worthy cause.

Speaking about the day, Kerrie Davies, events manager at Caudwell Children, told the BBC: “We’re extremely grateful to ORJ Solicitors for continuing to support Caudwell Children.

“Events like Shooting Stars help bring together work teams and groups of friends to try something new and raise money for a great cause.

“All the money raised from the event will go directly to providing practical and emotional support to families living with disabled children so we’re appealing for teams to sign up.”
